The Origin
Built because I was sick of watching people get wrecked.
I've been in this space long enough to know what a rug looks like after it happens. The chart goes to zero, the Telegram group goes quiet, and someone somewhere just lost rent money on a token that was obviously a trap — if you knew where to look.
The problem was never that the information didn't exist. It was always there — on-chain, public, permanent. The problem was that pulling it all together took five different tabs, two APIs, and more time than anyone has before a token moves.
I watched people ape into tokens with $3,000 in liquidity. I watched wallets get bundled and dumped on retail in the first ten minutes. I watched deployers launch the same rug fourteen times under different names, and nobody connected the dots because nobody had the tool to do it.
So I built Aevum Scan. Not as a business first. As a tool I actually needed. Something that would paste a contract address and immediately tell me what matters: can I sell this, who deployed it, how many times have they rugged before, is the liquidity real, what are the big wallets doing.
The name Aevum comes from medieval scholastic philosophy — a state of being between time and eternity. The blockchain never sleeps. Every transaction is permanent. The data tells a story to anyone who knows how to read it. This tool reads the story before you make a decision you can't take back.
It's free because the people who need it most are the ones who can least afford to pay for it. The trader with $500 deserves the same information as the whale with $500,000. That's the mission. Level the playing field.

The most important single factor. Low liquidity means you cannot exit without massive slippage. $3K liquidity sounds fine until you try to sell $500.

⏱Token Age
The vast majority of rugs happen within the first 24 hours of launch. Age is one of the strongest predictive signals.

📉Sell Pressure Ratio
When 75%+ of recent transactions are sells, wallets are exiting. Informed wallets — often insiders — distributing onto retail.

📊Transaction Count
Very few transactions indicates either a brand new token or one abandoned after a rug.

💥Price Crash History
A token down 60%+ in 24 hours may be in active distribution or already post-rug.

📦Volume
Negligible volume means either no real traders or an abandoned token.

Legitimate projects communicate. No socials, no website — scammers rarely bother.

🍯Honeypot Detection
We simulate a buy and sell. If you can't sell — that's a honeypot. The most critical check.

→Sell tax >50% → +20 points

👤Deployer History
We check every token the deployer has ever launched and calculate their rug rate.
Up to 25 pts
→Rug rate >80% → +25 points

📜Contract Flags
Mint authority, freeze authority, blacklist, pausable transfers, proxy contracts, unverified source.
